Threads of Fate

On a dark and stormy night, a baby is mysteriously left in the care of a witch. Eight years later, the child begins to display unusual powers that cause Mother Maybelieve Mayhigh to call in the help of her learned colleague, Gammer Goodhiding, and secretary to the Guild of Mages, Prestidigitators, Illusionists and General Wielders of Magic (not including Witches), Ilbnot Lunklake, to investigate what these powers are and where they came from.

From the Halls of the Gods, to the very base of the world's tallest (occasionally) mountain, Mother Mayhigh, Rum, her chaotically powered adopted daughter, and Ilbnot must evade fate, the Hand of Fate, wildly disruptive magic, and two murderous rogues attempting to steal a priceless artefact, to find the source of Rum's powers.

But with the fate of the world, and, indeed, Fates, hanging in the balance, the truth may be far more dangerous than anyone can imagine.
