When students talked about the future valedictorian, one name always came up: Senku Ishigami.
For years, Senku has worked toward the top. Perfect grades, flawless test scores, and countless hours committed to science have all been part of his plan. Becoming valedictorian is not a dream. It is an inevitability.
At least, it was.
When Y/N L/N transfers to his high school, everything changes.
Rumors spread rapidly about the new student. She is brilliant, competitive, and somehow keeping pace with Senku's rankings. Before long, the two top students find themselves locked in an academic war with only one goal in mind: valedictorian.
Between exams, competitions, and endless arguments, their rivalry only grows stronger. Senku is irritated by the fact that Y/N has claimed his favorite study spot in the library. Y/N is equally frustrated when Senku continues to edge her out in rankings and academic placements.
Still, there is one thing she can beat him at.
Physical education.
As senior year approaches and graduation draws closer, the line between rivalry and something else begins to dim. The more time they spend trying to outdo one another, the more they learn about the person behind the grades.
Neither of them planned for that.
Especially Senku.
After all, admitting feelings is a lot harder than earning perfect scores.
