The House That Choose Them

The road was supposed to be simple.

A summer trip. Loud music. Seven friends laughing over nothing important.

Until-

SCREEEEEECH.

The car jerked violently.

Silence followed.

Jungkook blinked.

"...Did we just die?"

Jin groaned from the back seat.

"If we died, I'm suing fate."

Outside, the forest stretched endlessly. No signal. No road help. Just thick trees swallowing the sky.

Namjoon exhaled.

"We need shelter. Now."

Hoseok pointed nervously.

"...Guys. There's something over there."

Through the fog-

a mansion.

Tall.

Old.

Strangely glowing.

Jimin narrowed his eyes.

"...Why does it look like it's waiting for us?"

Yoongi muttered:

"Because nothing good ever looks normal in horror movies."

Taehyung stepped forward first.

"...We go in together."

Jungkook grabbed his sleeve instantly.

"...I don't like that sentence."

Taehyung glanced at him.

"Then stay close."

A pause.

Jungkook nodded.

"...Okay."

🏚️ Inside the Mansion

The doors opened on their own.

Warm light spilled out.

A long dining table.

Fresh food.

Candles lit perfectly.

Jin froze.

"...Nope. I refuse any haunted place that tries this hard."

Jimin whispered:

"This is giving 'trap' energy."

Yoongi added:

"It's definitely trap."

Namjoon stepped forward carefully.

"Hello?"

Silence.

Then-

a soft sound.

A chair moving.

Without anyone touching it.

Hoseok whispered:

"...I hate it here already."

And then-

a whisper echoed through the hall.

"Welcome home..."

Jungkook froze.

"...We don't live here."

Taehyung looked at the dark end of the hall.

"...Apparently, it disagrees."

The candles flickered once.

All at the same time.

And the doors behind them slowly closed.
