Steve McGarrett and Yelena Belova had known each other for as long as they could remember. Growing up side by side in a world that never offered either of them a normal childhood, they became each other's constant. Through scraped knees, impossible training, and the weight of expectations placed on their shoulders, they learned to survive together.

As the years passed, their friendship deepened into something neither of them could ignore.
