Fifteen years ago, a Force-sensitive infant was taken from his family and raised by the Empire. Trained in secrecy by the Grand Inquisitor himself, Ezra Bridger was molded into the perfect weapon-an Inquisitor feared across the galaxy and known only as Ares.

When the Ghost crew launches a mission to rescue Wookiee prisoners, Kanan Jarrus senses a powerful darkness unlike any he has faced before. During the operation, he clashes with a young Inquisitor who defeats him and steals his lightsaber, delivering it to the Grand Inquisitor.

As the Ghost crew races to recover the weapon from the Imperial Dome, Ares begins investigating fragments of a forgotten past. A visit to his childhood home leads him to two prisoners: Ephraim and Mira Bridger. Their story reveals a truth the Empire kept hidden for years-Ares is Ezra Bridger.

Caught between the life he was forced to live and the family he never knew, Ezra must decide who he truly is. With the help of Kanan and the Ghost crew, he begins a journey from the Empire's deadliest apprentice to a Jedi's student, while the Grand Inquisitor will do anything to reclaim the weapon he created.

An alternate universe of Star Wars Rebels where Ezra Bridger was raised by the Empire-and must fight to become himself again.
