It's only when one of the Cullens coven, a vampire that had been traveling in Alaska, met his eyes did Jacob ever thought of breaking the treaty.

Her name was Annalise Cullen, but all he could hear was 'mate'. He would rather rip her throat out than imprint on a vampire. No matter what Sam said, or what his father said, they couldn't be trusted.

That was a little harder, in practice. All those thoughts left his head when she runs to La Push one night, something about one of the Cullen's vision of the future.
