The Return of the Worst Witch

After years spent at Weirdsister College as a respected research assistant in Transfiguration, Mildred Hubble never expected to return to the place where everything began.

But when Miss Cackle asks for her help, Mildred accepts a temporary position as Acting Transfiguration Mistress at Cackle's Academy.

The academy she once called home is no longer what it used to be. Enrollment is dwindling, resources are scarce, and modern magical institutions such as Pentangle's Academy are rapidly leaving it behind. As questions arise about whether Cackle's can survive in a changing magical world, Mildred finds herself tasked with more than teaching lessons-she must help transform the school itself.

Yet some things prove far more challenging than curriculum reform and academic politics.
Working alongside the formidable Constance Hardbroom forces Mildred to confront old insecurities, lingering tensions, and unexpected feelings neither woman is prepared to acknowledge.

As the future of Cackle's Academy hangs in the balance, friendships are tested, traditions are challenged, and hearts begin to change in ways neither of them could have predicted.

Some transformations change more than magic.
