War against the Z

Rose, a Medical Laboratory Science college student, was completing her clinical internship at the university hospital. One day, a young child was brought in after being bitten by a dog. Rose and her partner, Andrew, were tasked with drawing the child's blood. Just as Rose was about to insert the needle into the little girl's right arm, the patient suddenly began to twitch violently as if having a seizure. She lunged forward, trying to bite Rose, but Andrew quickly stepped in and held the child down, allowing them to successfully finish drawing the blood. Later, while waiting for the lab results, Andrew noticed blood soaking through the left shoulder of his scrubs. Rose immediately inspected the wound; they disinfected and bandaged the bite mark, but moments later, Andrew suddenly began to vomit.
