Silent. It was complete silence. A mere few seconds and the car had gone crashing into the wall. One wrong move and William was bracing for an impact that he hadn't seen coming. His hands shot up to his head on autopilot. Something drivers are taught as a muscle memory. There was a ringing in his head. He couldn't tell if the wet feeling on his head was blood or sweat. The pain didn't flare in. But William knew that he couldn't move. Knew that his body was jammed into place. He knew that his engineer was screaming in his ears but even his throat felt clogged, his words felt wrong. --- Or A #WilliamEst au where: Est is a former retired f1 racer, now working as a sports psychiatrist and William is a rising f1 racer, who has ptsd after a serious crash and meets Est for therapy.
