The Frayed Thread of Alaala

For Ira, reality is a terrifying loop.

She wakes up on a devastated, post-apocalyptic Earth, tasked with leading a small group of survivors through a wasteland plagued by monstrous entities and the "Insane"-crazed humans who prey on others.

Ira always knows one thing: everything will be okay, because she has a fractured memory of killing the colossal sea monster that destroyed the world.

But this certainty comes at a cost: after every major crisis, Ira forgets who she is and who she loves.

During one frantic escape, her current protective mission unravels. Betrayed by a newly-rescued girl and captured by the mysterious Suspicious People, Ira faces a sharp-eyed woman who expects her to be dead.

When Ira asks, "Do I know you?" the ensuing shock shatters not just the woman, but the delicate, violent reality Ira thought she understood.

Now, free once more but burdened by an unprecedented level of confusion, Ira must pursue the frayed threads of her alaala (memory).

To break the cycle of forgetting and save the remaining two companions she can't remember, she must uncover the dark secret behind her own terrifying power, her endless return, and the terrible truth about the world she was supposed to have left behind.
