An unpredictable artist. A calculated heir. One rigged inheritance game. Delilah Lewis never asked for the spotlight, the press, or the multi-billion-dollar Hawthorne fortune. She was perfectly content with the quiet, messy sanctuary of her art studio until a sudden, mandatory summons dragged her to Hawthorne House to fiercely compete against Avery Grambs. To level the playing field, the Hawthorne brothers propose a high-stakes tactical bet and split into teams to help the girls. She is a whirlwind of spontaneous inspiration, classical music, and raw emotion. Grayson Hawthorne is the family's golden boy-a disciplined, rigid strategist who operates entirely on logic and cold precision. He thrives on control, but Delilah's chaotic presence is a variable he never saw coming. Forced into the same ruthless orbit to survive a web of inheritance puzzles, their clashing philosophies turn the mansion into a psychological battlefield. Grayson is determined to outsmart the competition and win, but Delilah is determined to do the opposite and get out of that house as fast as possible.

Addiane found her life to be comfortable enough. She may not have known her family, but she was fed and taken care of by those she lived with. She rarely feared for her life, and she was being taught valuable life lessons by those around her. Of course, training to be a Dragon Rider under the Shadeslayer himself, the first proper Rider in a long time, was a major bonus. Addiane wouldn't have thought she'd ever want to leave their little haven. Her curiosity simply got the better of her when Eragon's cousin made a plea for assistance, describing terrifying marauders and bowmen whose aim had been blessed by gods. And of course there was the man who rode the red dragon. Addiane had to know more about him, and about what was going on in the mountains that Eragon Shadeslayer had once called home. She really didn't know what she was getting into. *I DON'T OWN THE RANGERS APPRENTICE SERIES/ACCOMPANYING BOOKS OR THE INHERITANCE CYCLE, I JUST REALLY LOOK UP TO JOHN FLANAGAN AND CHRISTOPHER PAOLINI*
