Truth be told, Hriday Banerjee never wanted to pursue higher education. It wasn't one of his options. Hell, it wasn't even a backup.

Yet, here he is: standing on the threshold of a 'prestigious' state university, exhausted to the bone but clinging to the faint hope that perhaps, a masters degree might be the solution to his miseries.

Meanwhile, Teesta Sikdar has settled into a routine. Freshly appointed as an assistant professor in the same university, she has only one goal: turn her temporary tenure into a permanent position.

In hindsight, it is as simple as it could get. Professor and student. Mentor and ward. Strangers after class hours.

Except their paths begin to cross far more often than it should; and when a titillating tension brews in the air, it becomes harder and harder to remain oblivious. The easier solution would be to address the elephant in the room - but what happens, when you are each other's worst choice?

The consequence of giving into the allure is far steeper than they can afford. But fate doesn't bring two hearts together only to rip them apart, right?
