After the Rain Fell

I was fifteen when the first flowers of Ophelia's syndrome bloomed. No one knew what they were yet. A blockage in the lungs, perhaps. A broken heart. All we knew was by the next day, there were bodies. And in the hour after that, the dead woke up.
My name is Sabine Faye, and this is my story.

With the end of the world at her heels, Sabine Faye searches restlessly for her missing brother. When she heals a boy from the thing that would have killed him, she realises she's exactly the kind of person that they need to stop the spread of Ophelia's and take down the flowerborn-undead people who were reanimated after being killed by Ophelia's syndrome- once and for all. Joining an intrepid team of civilians turned amateur superheroes to follow the apocalypse from the front line, Sabine works to discover more about Ophelia's and maybe even find a cure.
But when the members of Squad Delta start to uncover a conspiracy that goes beyond anything they ever planned to find, Sabine realises she's in a little deeper than she planned. Can she reconcile with the people she's been avoiding for years, or will the twisting vines they all battle in the shadows get to them first?
