You were an ex employee at Playtime Co. You had gotten fired for seemingly no reason back in 1992 after working for the company for seven years. Yet ten years later they send you an old Poppy Playtime advertisement VHS tape, and a letter.

You meet up with an old friend who also worked for the company until 1994. They had gotten the same letter with the lack of tape, so you both set off into the now seemingly abandoned factory.
