A Matter of Devotion | Aemond Targaryen

Eleanora has spent most of her life surviving.
When brought into the heart of House Targaryen, she finds friendship where she least expects it, purpose where she never thought to look and a place among people who slowly become her own.
But as the realm fractures and loyalties are tested, Eleanora learns that devotion can be as dangerous as ambition and even love can become a battlefield.
Some stories are about power. Some are about love.
This one is about what happens when the two collide.

"People like me aren't usually invited to know the world. We're just expected to live in the corner of it we are given."
She looked up. Emerald eyes flashing with defensive pride.
"I wanted to know where I am. I wanted to see the maps so I could understand the scale of the debt I owe the King. And the language..."
Her voice softened though her gaze remained steady.
"I thought, if I'm to serve the blood of the dragon, I should at least know how to speak to it."
