FrontierTale - Chapter Zero

Chara will never forget the day their life started over.
It was like everything in their past suddenly became worlds away, the memories clear yet unreachable. The entire universe had shifted.
Except it really hadn't. The world kept spinning; the sun still rose in the east and set in the west. Chara had followed that sun to the demise of their old life, and they were guided by it in their new life. They picked a direction and walked in it, until some other force stopped them, until life began again. This new life, this new world, couldn't be more different from anything they had known.

Or: A universe where there were never any human mages, underground, or reset possibilities, just a war between humans and monsters. Chara tries to survive in a small town near the border of monster and human territory while torn between which side they belong to.
