A fire starts. It spreads fast. The building traps everyone. In the chaos, Chance makes a choice that haunts him for 10 years - he survives. 28 students don't. The journal with all 40 names becomes the only thing left.

Part 1 ends with Chance alive, but broken. Guilt, questions, and 40 names burned into his memory. The motto: _"40 names. 1 night. A scar that lasted 10 years."_
