THE PORCELAIN RABBIT
For more than a century, Mila has carried a promise.
Deep within Site-77, Foundation researchers study an anomaly unlike any they have ever encountered: a young rabbit-eared girl made of delicate porcelain, her body covered in cracks that seem to spread with every passing year. She carries a worn sketchbook wherever she goes, filling its pages with faces, names, and stories no one else can remember.
The Foundation calls her SCP-XXXX.
She calls herself Mila.
Every night, people appear outside her chamber. A boy clutching a toy train. A widow in a blue dress. A librarian protecting stories from being forgotten. A little girl carrying a music box whose song echoes through empty hallways.
They are not ghosts.
They are not hallucinations.
They are the Forgotten-people whose names, lives, and memories have slipped through the cracks of history.
As Dr. Amelia Hayes begins studying the strange porcelain girl, she discovers that Mila's gift is far more extraordinary than anyone realizes. Each crack in her porcelain skin contains a memory. Each face in her sketchbook belongs to someone who once lived, loved, laughed, and was lost. Together, Mila and Hayes begin uncovering stories long buried by time, helping the Forgotten find peace while searching for answers about Mila's own mysterious past.
But every story they recover leads to a deeper question. Who was Mila before she became the Porcelain Rabbit? Why do the Forgotten come to her? And what happened during the winter of 1897, when a lonely thirteen-year-old girl made a promise that would echo across generations?
