Argentina, 1875. When Torcuato Ramírez is tasked with writing a chronicle of Prudencia Suárez de Elías-Sartre's journey to the Araucanian territory, he unwittingly finds himself lost in the north, on a farm belonging to a blind landowner who has something much more interesting to tell Torcuato than industrial plans.
