April's never been one to hold grudges. Well.. She would like to say that, at least, but if she's being honest, she'll hold a grudge until she's six feet under. There's only three unforgiveable crimes that she's vowed to never forgive. One: the man who left her mother at the altar, who, if he'd stayed, her life would be very, very different. Two: the man who'd taken advantage of her. And three: her mother, the one person she thought she could trust in the world who ended up hurting her the most. But she's still her mother's daughter; had it not been for that one mistake, April would still be moving every two months with her. Innocent and happy. But that's not how life turned out. Part of her is glad-she never would have met her older sisters without that pain and betrayal. She never would have met the Hawthornes. If she can't forgive those three forever-grudges, she's determined to do everything she can to forget them. And she almost does, until her group therapy class talks about forgiveness, and the cut she thought was bandaged becomes freshly opened.
