The Last Season

It's the first day of the Season on the utopian world of Nuevo Victoriana, and Bridget Claremont will meet her state-appointed betrothal candidates. Getting married is supposed to be every girl's dream, except Bridget doesn't want to get married. She wants to be the first female student at the Royal Cybernetics Academy. That, and to figure out why her attempt at creating Artificial Intelligence failed just before her Academy presentation.

When Bridget is matched with the enigmatic Prince Kaseom d'Jorax, a secretive branch of the royal family that has never put forth a candidate before, she should be thrilled. He's the absolute catch of the Season. However, it's also possible his family knows why her AI crashed. As far as Bridget is concerned, she'd rather die than marry Kase. Worse, he's so arrogant and smug, she can't decide if she wants to kiss or strangle him. She'll go through the motions of the Season, but when it's over, she plans to get back to what really matters.

But once Bridget and Kase are paired, Nuevo Victoriana's alien protectors, the Ragnari, take an intense interest in their courtship. Bridget finds herself drawn into a world of intrigue and royal machinations she can't begin to navigate on her own. And when her fledgling AI discovers the Ragnari are hiding a secret big enough to undermine all of Nuevo Victoriana, Bridget will need to work with Kase to stop them. Otherwise, the world as she knows it will no longer exist.
