Stolen Moments: The Dangerous Bond Between Captor and Captive

Alex Long Shadow is the son of a chief and is solely in charge of running his future casino and maintain order for his people. He is a man who likes things to go his way. Even if it means plotting and going behind his father's back, and his people, to run business with Kai Proctor to operate illegal operations. He doesn't care, if he has to order his tribe of criminal people called the Red Bones, help aid him and to kidnap, terrorize, or eliminate his rivals for him. Alex doesn't mind playing dirty, and rubbing his hands in the mud, and staining them with the blood of the white man if he needs to and they get in his way.

Remedy Hamer is soft spoken, teenager and cheerful, with a cathartic release, for singing to herself when happy and alone. She jumps up without hesitation and decides, to take the Grey Hound, to find and spend time, with the grandfather she never knew, that she had in Pennsylvania. However, she is unaware of the racial tensions and dangers of the city. Or, that her grandfather has business with dangerous men and that there are hidden and buried family secrets. But she is too happy and excited to see her grandfather who can't turn her away and send her back.
