Maira is the youngest daughter of the royal family of Ravidia. A country feared and avoided by everyone. The soil is cursed and won't bear any crops and the people are even more cursed by a plague that leads to a gruesome death. A death knocking on her best friend's doorstep. And then there's the border in the forest. That masks a whole other world that they think is the root of all their issues.
If that's not bad enough she is forced into a marriage of convenience with the youngest prince of Levelle. Her father's attempt to use outside resources to help their country. Will this husband of hers be an annoyance and a reminder that her duty is always to her country or is he the answer to the curses draining her country and the key to softening her heart?
