MALEFICENT IN LAW

The story you will read is my autobiography; the names are fictitious for privacy reasons, but the events actually happened and are faithfully recounted.

In January 2021, I met my future husband during an online English course. Soon after, I met his mother. At first, we were like friends: we texted every day on WhatsApp and helped each other through hard times.
But everything changed in 2024 when we moved into her government housing apartment. I was pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy and felt very fragile, but the moment we crossed that doorstep, the kind woman disappeared. Under the same roof, she started to make my life an absolute hell, showing no pity for my situation.
Maleficent in Law is the true story of how the person who promised to help me became my worst enemy when I was at my most vulnerable.
