The Golden String

Have you ever gotten addicted to reading webtoons?

Yeah... I know. They're not free. Well, some are-but the really good ones? Definitely not.

And yet somehow, I still keep "accidentally" spending money on them. This is not an advertisement, by the way.

Anyway... where was I?

Oh right.

I started reading back in my senior year of college to pass the time. After graduating, I got a job, became a responsible adult, and experienced... well... a lot of very undesirable things, every single day.

So naturally, I returned to my unhealthy coping mechanism: reading.

And what exactly am I reading?

Romance Fantasy.

Yes. The cliché ones.

YES. The ones with reincarnation, time travel, childcare, northern Dukes, emperors, crown princes, cold-hearted male leads, villainesses, and "OP" girls who somehow become the center of every powerful man's universe.

I got so addicted that I've practically read everything-completed, ongoing, good, bad, and the "why did I even click this?" kind.

At this point, I don't even have standards anymore. If it has at least three panels of drama, I'm in.

As an adult going through what I can only describe as my third life crisis, I've been wishing to escape reality the same way those female leads did.

But of course, that's impossible...

Haha...

There's absolutely no way I'd magically get transported into one of the stories I've read, right?
