Sins of the Savior

Ananya Kashyap's pure heart has always been her defining trait, but it also makes her incredibly naive. When her college acquaintance Jiya comes crying to her, desperate and terrified, Ananya cannot look away. Jiya's father is a severe heart patient who needs a life-saving operation immediately. However, her father had borrowed a massive amount of money from the ruthless Agnihotri family. The conditions were brutal: if Jiya does not show up to work as a maid at the Agnihotri Mansion to pay off the debt, the gangsters will murder her father.

Seeing Jiya's agony, Ananya makes a impulsive, dangerous decision. She tells Jiya to take her father and leave for the hospital immediately, promising to cover for her. Ananya's brother, IG Anuj Kashyap, is completely unreachable, completely consumed by a high-profile, months-long security operation for the Chief Minister. Her sister-in-law Saanvi and niece Kavya are away visiting family in Delhi. Even her fiery best friend and shield, Drishti, is out of the state attending a cousin's wedding in Uttar Pradesh.

Ananya dresses in Jiya's simple salwar suits, pulls a long dupatta over her face as a veil (ghunghat) to hide her identity, and steps out of her protected life. She believes she is just doing a good deed for a few weeks until her family returns. She has no idea she is walking directly into the empire of her brother's sworn enemy.
