Most relationships begin with love confessions. Other begin with Late night calls and morning texts.
This one began with two rules when it comes to Elias Whitmore:

Don't trust him.
Don't let him win.

Unfortunately, university has a way of ruining perfectly good plans.

Elias Whitmore is brilliant, arrogant, infuriating, and somehow always knows exactly how to get under my skin. We compete over everything, argue constantly, and have never managed to be in the same room without getting on each other's nerves.

So when he comes to me with an offer I never expected, I should say no.

I probably would have.

Except there's money involved.

Now I'm supposed to play a role I never wanted, with the one person I never wanted to play it with.

There are rules.

Boundaries.

And absolutely no reason for any of this to become complicated.

At least, that's what I tell myself.

Because pretending should be easy.
