Shoto Todoroki died when he was six years old.
At least, that's what everyone believes.
After a fire destroyed the Todoroki household, no bodies were ever found for Shoto or his older brother, Touya. The world assumed they perished in the flames alongside the rest of their family.
They were wrong.
For ten years, Shoto lived in the shadows. Raised on stolen meals, cheap motel rooms, and eventually the League of Villains, he learned how to survive long before he learned how to live.
Then everything falls apart.
Caught during the USJ attack, sixteen-year-old villain Shoto Todoroki is given a choice: prison or rehabilitation.
Now he's stuck under the watch of Katsuki Bakugo-the loud, aggressive hero student who was responsible for capturing him in the first place.
Bakugo expected a dangerous villain.
Instead, he got a shameless flirt with no sense of personal space, a talent for stealing things he definitely shouldn't, and a habit of making himself at home wherever he goes.
Living together is supposed to help Shoto adjust to hero society.
Unfortunately, all it's doing is driving Bakugo insane.
As old secrets begin to surface and the truth about the Todoroki fire threatens to come to light, Shoto is forced to decide who he wants to be: the villain the world believes he is, or something else entirely.
And somewhere between arguments, stolen hoodies, and far too much time spent together, Bakugo realizes he may have made a terrible mistake.
Because getting attached to a former villain was never part of the plan.
Especially when that villain is unfortunately his.
