A Real Fighter Doesn't Need a Sword Much Less a Weapon

Tenma Hoshigaki is one of Japan's top-tier martial artists, a fighter whose skill seems unmatched. After a late-night training session, he is ambushed on his way home by a man from a rival dojo-a familiar opponent he has defeated in countless tournaments. This time, however, the encounter ends differently. The man draws a gun and kills him.

But death is not the end.

Tenma awakens in the body of an 8 year old named Ryker Vulkrayne, a weak boy that has no talent for swordsmanship born into a proud and prestigious Noble family of swordsmen in another world. Cast as the disappointment of the family to make it much worse Tenma knows nothing about swordsmanship-and has never cared for weapons, blades, or the traditions surrounding them in his past life.

Yet Tenma Hoshigaki is not someone who gives up easily.

In this new world of his, where most battles are decided by swordfights and clashing metal, he must grow within a society built on sword fighting while staying true to what he is: a fighter at his core. He will show that even without a sword, a real fighter can still fight without those sticks made from steel.
