Guns and Romance

Isadora Vargas was 13 when her family got attacked during family game night.
Her parents weren't the ones to be available everyday, but they still kept in touch.
During an argument, their door was knocked down and her mom immediately went to hide her upstairs inside a closet.
" S-stay here Isa... Don't make a sound" her voice trembled. " Mom?" She just looked at her. Her eyes carrying thousands of unspoken words. " I love you Isa"
Bang!
Her smile faltered. She falls forward unto Isadora. Her blood ; a stream of red. Tears blurred Isadora's vision. Then she looked up.
A boy who looked her age or at least two years older than her stared down. Her eyebrows creased and knitted in something that looked somewhat like pain, disbelief and confusion all in one. He held the eye contact, never for a minute looking away.
He simply nodded before closing the closet door. " Cleared!" His voice couldn't sound more cold. Then she heard the sounds of disappearing footsteps before the front door closed shut.

That face , that voice, both remained etched in her memory for years and she now seeks revenge. Revenge from the man who killed her childhood.
