While the opening of the Mato gates reshaped Japan into a supernatural matriarchy guarded by the elite Anti-Demon Corps, another rift opened in the Plains of Texas. But this one was not a demonic hell, it was a wild frontier set in earth's prehistoric past. Named Aethelgard, this magically charged primal wilderness of towering mega-flora, Direwolves, and Mammoths became the ultimate testing ground for American survival.

To conquer this lethal domain, the United States Army and Marine Corps formed the Aethelgard Expeditionary Force (AEF). Sent out with Union-style uniforms, modern surveying equipment, and all the McDonald's, Popeyes, and Starbucks to keep the troops fed and caffeinated, the men of the AEF found their own source of power: "Power-Brew." A naturally fermenting liquid that unlocks devastating alchemical transmutation only in those who can tolerate the strong alcohol content. And that meant, only men had the livers and unique biology to withstand its volatile, reality-bending properties without succumbing to the common effects of alcohol set to max.

Enter young Lieutenant Arthur Bradley, a rising officer in the AEF's frontline 1st Brigade. Arthur carries a legendary, almost impossible burden on his shoulders-he is the only male child of the AEF's Supreme Commander, General of the Armies George Bradley, and the Supreme Commander of Japan's Anti-Demon Corps, Fubuki Azuma.

Born from a union of absolute global power, Arthur belongs to both worlds but fits cleanly into neither.
