"Nice." I drawled. "Maybe you do have taste."

She narrowed her eyes at me and feigned a scoff. Or maybe it was real. I wasn't entirely sure. "Maybe?" she questioned.

And I just grinned at her even wider, the widest I've ever grinned in what felt like years. "Still tentative."
