I sit on the cold cement floor. A wool blanket neatly folded on the cot beside me. I stare at the grey stone walls around me. I remember the clumps of long blond hair stained with blood. I feel the chains that held her down. I remember how easily the sharp knife pierced her silky olive skin. I remember the feeling of her warm blood on my hands. I still hear her screams when I close my eyes. I remember the last look she gave me before her pale hazel eyes went cold. I remember him, his black hair and bright green eyes. he wanted to help me... He gave me his hope, his brightness, his heart. He didn't scream. Only a single tear slid down his pale skin and a small whisper came from his mouth, "Close your eyes darling..." For the first time I closed my eyes and prayed it wouldn't hurt. My first was the olive skinned girl and my last was the boy who gave me his heart. I'm scared to close my eyes for tomorrow, a new boy or girl's life will end and it may be me...
