Fat Chance is the first in a series following Sean McDermott, a New York PI on the run from the mob for a murder he didn't commit.  Sean is a bit of a case.  He drinks too much, smokes too much and has several unresolved phobias.  Nothing his shrink can't fix, given more time and money.  

After his car breaks down in the little backwater town of Mystic Falls, New Mexico, Sean is persuaded into helping the sheriff locate a missing person.  Persuaded as in, he's not getting his keys back until she's found.  Oh and did we mention that the wiseguys back in New York now know where he is?

But hey, he's a wisecracking, think-on-his-feet kind of guy.  Locating the woman known as Fat Chance and getting out before the goons show up should be a piece of cake for him, right?  Fat Chance.All Rights Reserved
