The Duke and I

Simon Basset, the irresistible Duke of Earl, has just returned to Londrea after six years traveling the world. Rich, handsome, and single, he's a prime target for high society parents, who only think about finding a good match for their sons and daughters.

Simon, however, is determined never to marry. So, to escape the clutches of these people, he needs a foolproof plan.

That's when Derek Bridgerton, the younger brother of his best friend, the diamond of the season, enters the scene. Despite being witty and possessing a striking personality, all the men who are interested in him are either too old, not very intelligent, or devoid of any charm.

Simon's idea is to pretend to court him. In this way, he'll manage to ward off the people obsessed with finding a husband and attract several suitors for Derek. After all, if a duke is interested in him, the young man must have more attractive qualities than he appears to possess.

But as their charade unfolds, Simon's mischievous smile and lustful eyes make it increasingly difficult for Derek to remember that it's all just an act. Now, he must do the impossible to avoid falling for this inveterate womanizer who is averse to everything he wants most in life.
