The world started burning when I was seven. I was sure that I was going to die until the Hero of Skies came and took us to Lythomaya.
Kenna Ferelith is a bold girl who has learned to make herself smaller. She was born on Earth, however when she was seven, it started burning. The water dried up, plants and animals died, and the world population went from 8 billion to two hundred within two years. Kenna's family is burned and she is left all alone, thinking that she is going to die soon. But two years after the world started burning, a man in his early thirties lands in the middle of all the people from Earth, who had been grouped together as they ran from the fire, like a shooting star. He took them to the planet Lythomaya, which is similar but different to Earth, one main difference being that all the plants are made of metals and gems.
The world is seemingly perfect, aside from the odd murder every few years. But when Kenna starts to think that the Lythomaya isn't as perfect as it seems and a boy moves in next door to her, what will happen? Will Kenna figure out what is making the world imperfect and fix it?
