The field trip wasn't supposed to go like this. Poor Marlowe got separated from her group in a matter of moments, only to get basically adopted by some very excitable blonde into his group.
That was the worst mistake of her life, it seems. Either that or her luck just genuinely sucked. Because how was she supposed to know that night she would wake up not in her hotel room, but in a perfect copy of it where the sky is blood-red and the 'people' are replaced with lanky black figures that are eerily set on chasing her down?
Oh! Chasing her AND that entire group she's accidentally ended up stuck with every night?
She really, really hates this place.
