Everyone desires the taste of sweetness.

Conan Domingo hasn't tasted cake in five years. Ever since the accident that took someone he loved, sweetness has become something forbidden. Until a chance encounter in a bookstore threatens to change everything.

Conan uploads the video of his bookstore visit and viewers start romanticizing the moment. With only three days left of the family vacation in Baguio City, he sets out to find "Book Boy" and discover whether a passing glance can shift the sourness of life. But when they meet, the search leads him to confront grief, discovering that the boy is carrying wounds of his own.

Finding themselves in front of a colorless sweet shop, they begin creating memories together while confronting the wounds they've carried for years. As they encourage each other to make one sweet decision, both discover how much a single encounter can alter the flavor of a life.
A Sweet Shop Across the Road is a Queer Contemporary Romance and Literary Novel about two boys who set out to create meaningful stories in the streets of Baguio, momentarily forgetting their sour lives.
