Inheritance

Ellery has been alone for four years, forced to face hardships that no one should ever have to endure. At just eighteen years old, he's balancing a dead-end job that barely puts food on the table while trying to keep his grades up during his final year of high school.

One evening, he has to stay after school to retake a test he didn't score well on. When he finishes, the computer displays his final grade, and for the first time in a while, he's genuinely pleased. As he's about to show his teacher the results and head home, things take an unexpected turn.
