Malachi and Freya have been friends for as long as they can remember
From Malachi comforting Freya the first time she had to leave him to go on vacation, to the first time Freya comforted Malachi when he lost his first soccer game...
12 years later and there still the best of friends if not closer. Everyone said they'd get married one day but they only ever viewed each other as brother and sister, without the annoyance siblings get of each other, of course. They loved each other more than they loved anyone else, but they only ever thought that was just their friendship.
Until the hugs become longer, the "I love you" starts to feel even more real, and the innocent cheek kisses started giving each other butterflies everytime they'd kiss each other on the cheek.
Is it just them getting older or something else..? Something deeper than friendship?
