A Scifi Anthology for The Flabbergasting Flash-Fic Smackdown Prompt Challenge.
Cynthian Ludo stands among four men, recruits chosen for a retrieval mission to a long abandoned earth.
The target.
Five Luminous beings that looked like they had been woven of star-mesh. But these light beings were more than just translucent frames of star dust. They contained the last data logs of a peace delegation that went wrong many years earlier.
And the recruits are not merely retrievers; they are grave-robbers sent to salvage the last witnesses of humanity's ruin.
Cynthian was chosen by an algorithm that identified her as being an 'empathetic resonant,' but Corporal Neith believes otherwise.

LOSS System: Last Store Standing
Jack didn't ask to save the world. He just wanted to run his convenience store in peace. Then he woke up in a wasteland. No town. No neighbors. No Wi-Fi. Just cracked red earth, dead trees, and a voice in his head calling itself the Limitless Omniversal Supply System. The LOSS System. Jack laughed for a very long time. The system was not amused. Now he has a fully stocked store, unlimited water and electricity, and a system that's somehow both all-powerful and deeply offended by everything he says. To survive in a world where the average temperature hits 52°C, Jack will have to sell supplies, make allies, build shelter, and figure out why his little store might be the first step toward bringing a dead world back to life. One cold soda at a time.
Beyond the Logic
~~~~~~~~ I started typing again when his voice came low almost an order, more demanding. "Sex karogi mere sath?" My eyes widened in panic, my head snapped at him as if the bone would come in two pieces out of my flesh. "Ye aadmi pagal wagal hai kya? Meine itna thakri aadmi likha...mujhe khud yakeen nhi ho rha." I thought to myself before galring at him. "Sharam nhi ayi na?" I narrowed my eyes at him, but he simply clicked his tongue as if it was the casual talk between us. "Bhyii mein aapki biwi nhi hu Jake koi or dhundh lo..." I joined my hands, frustration bubbling in my chest. But his voice came sharp this time, "ek baar or mujhse baat krte time bhai kaha to.." I sharply mocked him, "to..." But it was too late, he marched towards me with long strides. And instinctively I crawled back on the bed, "are bhyii, bhyi global word.... sorry galti ho gyi..." ~~~~~~~~~ Author x Character written by her. 21 x 31
The Strongest Marshal's Clingy Niece
The world has ended. Zombies rule the ruins, and humanity survives behind fortified bases. Among the survivors travels **Leaf Héroux**, a mysterious reborn woman hiding overwhelming power, accompanied by her highly trained German Shepherd. She only wants to travel quietly. That plan ends when she saves three-year-old **Lily Marchini** from a zombie horde. **"Sister, carry Lily."** "Walk." **"No. Carry."** "...Fine." After Lily refuses to let go of her, a group of zombie hunters begs Leaf to escort her to the **world's strongest base**. Leaf agrees. Big mistake. The moment Lily's family sees her, they refuse to let Leaf leave. Her mother grabs her hand. **"You saved my daughter. You're family now."** Her father nods. **"And family stays."** Grandma immediately starts fussing over her. **"You're too thin, dear. Eat."** Grandpa adds, **"And sleep. You're staying with us."** Then comes the worst of them all- **Alexander Marchini**, Lily's uncle and the terrifying Marshal of the strongest base. A giant of a man feared by thousands. He grabs Leaf's sleeve. **"Don't leave."** "I'm leaving." **"No."** "You're the Marshal." **"I can resign."** "You can't." **"Then take me with you."** "..." **"Please, Wifey."** And somehow, the strongest Marshal in the apocalypse becomes the clingiest man in her life. Leaf wanted to remain unnoticed. Instead, she gained a tiny daughter-like shadow, an overprotective family, and one enormous Marshal who refuses to let her go. **The apocalypse was supposed to be dangerous.** **Nobody warned Leaf about the Manchini family.** ☆Please vote, comment, and follow my page ☆ (ФωФ)Pwease
