Naomi Mori is a sophomore transfer who just wants to survive communal dorm life and ace her music major. She plays bass, sings, and can master pretty much any instrument she touches. She isn't looking for drama.

Then she goes to a sweaty campus basement gig and sees Ground Zero.

Instead of a sloppy college cover band, she finds a drummer who is a literal powerhouse. Katsuki Bakugo plays with lethal precision, perfect tempo, and a scowl that could kill. He treats music like a war zone and intends to win.When Bakugo catches Naomi flawlessly playing one of his own complex drum riffs in a campus practice room the next day, he kicks the door open ready to yell.
