Sam never understood why everyone was obsessed with Xani. Sure, he was smart, kind, and one of the top students in class, but she never really saw him the way everyone else did. While her friends-Maki, Faye, Shaira, and Kiara-constantly talked about him, Sam remained completely uninterested. Meanwhile, Chelsea, whose crush on Xani was known by almost the entire class, quietly hoped that one day he would finally notice her.

Everything changes when Sam starts having strange dreams about Xani.

A slow-burn school romance about dreams, friendship, jealousy, misunderstandings, and falling for the last person you ever expected.

Author's Note

This story is inspired by an actual dream I had in real life. The original dream was not very long, but it made me curious about what would happen if the story continued beyond the dream itself. So instead of forgetting it, I decided to turn it into a fanfiction and explore the "what if" behind it.

While the characters and events in this story are fictionalized for storytelling purposes, the idea of Sam dreaming about Xani actually came from a real dream. That dream became the starting point for this story.

Sometimes, the strangest dreams become the stories we cannot stop thinking about.
