Heroes In Jeopardy

Cuthahlatah Cheon's life was a wreck. They landed a big break in showbiz, only to discover their dual identity as a mermaid and a superpowered mutant. Three of their four friends were supernatural mutants too. Cuthahlatah, James, Primilla, Alberto (the only human among them), and Aurelien had always been outsiders, but they didn't care. A group of allies guided them through their new identities, and a fateful encounter with the enigmatic Winter Soldier led to a meeting with Captain America and Peggy Carter, who asked them to help save the Winter Soldier. Together, they formed The Impure Misfits and allied with the Avengers and X-Men to do so. Unbeknownst to them, their actions would lead to mass destruction, sparking a conflict between the Avengers and the X-Men, orchestrated by Zemo, who sought vengeance for his family's death in the chaos. As the in-fighting worsened, the X-Men and Avengers disbanded, leaving The Impure Misfits as the world's sole superhero team. A glimmer of hope emerged when they reunited with T'Challa, and together they joined forces to defend Wakanda from the looming threat of Killmonger. But a pressing question lingered: would their efforts be enough to save themselves?
