DAVE LIZEWSKI is a raging loser who hoards comic books, gets beaten up by assholes, and receives constant rejections from the ladies. BEA GUERRO is a stuck-up heiress who treats high school social status as if it's a career, talks shit about any and everyone who walks in her path, and has a major track record for losing jobs within one week of hire. As if it couldn't be any clearer, they're from two completely different worlds. But what happens when their worlds finally collide in the strange form of a superhero and his trusty superficial sidekick?

Dave's always wanted to be a somebody, so he decides to create KICK-ASS, a lousy vigilante who's committed to powerless crime fighting in the chaotic streets of Staten Island. However, his first mission goes haywire when he ends up getting brutally stabbed and hit by a cherry red convertible... that just so happens to be Bea's car. Furious with her antics, Bea's parents force her to become Dave's personal nurse until he recovers. But once Bea discovers Dave's superhero alias, she decides to promote herself as his sidekick and raise his street cred in hopes that he'll become a big name.

But what happens when the crime-fighting starts to become all too real, and the city's most dangerous mob boss is persistent on tearing Kick-Ass down?

...And what happens when the relationship between superhero and sidekick ends up forming into something far deeper?
