Seventeen-year-old Liam has spent every summer in the same small lakeside town. He knows everyone, works at the local ice cream shop, and plans to leave for college the second he graduates.
Then Owen arrives.
Owen's family has rented the old cabin at the end of the lake after a difficult year in the city. He's quiet, guarded, and only plans to stay for the summer.
The boys meet after a kayaking accident leaves them stranded on a tiny island in the middle of the lake. What starts as an awkward friendship turns into a summer filled with bonfires, midnight swims, stargazing, and shared secrets.
As their feelings grow, both know the end of summer is approaching. Liam is preparing to leave for college, and Owen is expected to return home hundreds of miles away.
When family expectations, distance, and uncertainty threaten to pull them apart, they must decide whether a summer romance can become something more.
