When sixteen-year-old Christopher Harper arrives at a remote wilderness camp for troubled teens, he expects more of the same: strict rules, fake therapists, and adults who claim they're helping while ignoring the real problems.
Sebastian Reyes expects nothing at all.
The two boys couldn't be more different. Christopher is angry at the world and determined not to trust anyone. Sebastian keeps his head down, hoping to survive another day without drawing attention to himself. Their first interactions are tense, often ending in arguments and mutual frustration.
But as the weeks pass, they begin to see pieces of themselves reflected in one another.
When rumors begin circulating about abuse, disappearances, and punishments hidden from parents and authorities, Christopher, Sebastian, and Alex start paying attention. What they discover is far worse than they imagined.
As conditions inside the camp grow increasingly dangerous, the three teenagers form an uneasy alliance. Christopher and Sebastian's friendship deepens into something neither of them knows how to define, creating new tensions between them. Both boys carry enough emotional baggage to sabotage any chance of a relationship, leading to arguments, misunderstandings, and moments where walking away feels easier than staying.
Eventually, they realize the only way to survive is to escape.
Together, they begin planning a dangerous breakout from the camp. But escaping isn't as simple as climbing a fence. The wilderness surrounding the camp is unforgiving, staff members are always watching, and every mistake could mean being dragged back. Or worse.
As they fight for freedom, Christopher and Sebastian must decide whether they can trust each other completely or risk losing the one person who finally understands them.
