Until Shift Change

Avery Hayes is your average night shift EMT in the busy city of Willow Creek. Her objective is to get through her shifts and do her job right. She has mastered the art of surviving twelve hour shifts and carrying the emotional weight of saving others lives all while running on too much caffeine. The last thing she needs is an overbearing police officer with an ego that somehow always manages to be on the same scene as her.

Officer Devin Carter is fiercely over protective to those near him, calm under pressure, and undeniably good looking. All things combined making him impossible to ignore. Their first encounter with each other was filled with argumentative words with every meeting after filled with sarcastic quips, prideful statements, and soon enough, undeniable chemistry. The teasing was a front for the growing mutual respect that both were too stubborn to say out loud.

One difficult call caused the walls to crumble and the underlying feelings to emerge. The line between on the job professionals and something more begins to blur, Avery and Devin must decide if risking a love story is worth it in such an unforgiving job field where the sirens never stop.
