Summary of the Confirmed Origin
1471 (Wars of the Roses / Battle of Tewkesbury): Born into poverty. Brutal childhood trauma - witnessed his thomas aka father's murder and his Eleanor aka mother's rape and stoning. Pressed into service as a child soldier. The deranged alchemist "Nobhead" forcibly implanted the experimental orange crystals into him at a young age in horrific conditions. One biological child: The crystals only ever allowed him one son - Luke Shephe Snogan (born 1902). Jed loved him deeply, but Luke died young in the Irish Civil War in Jed's arms. The crystals watched and enjoyed it. WWII (1939): Active during the war. Shot down over the English Channel (or possibly Ohio due to garbled radio). Dreamed of Welrthy's blackberry pie moments before the fall. Alien Abduction: Drunken, perverted aliens (same species as Mantis, with thick Canadian accents) found his glowing crystals "sexy" and put him in stasis for decades so they could use his frozen body for their own pleasure.
Awakening: Released in 2011 in Ohio, disoriented, furious, and immediately dealing with the crystals reasserting control.
