The Doorbell

The house was cheap.

Too cheap.

Most people avoided it because of the stories. Years apart, two people had disappeared inside its walls without a trace. No answers were ever found.

He doesn't believe in ghost stories. He only needs a quiet place to live.

But two weeks after moving in, something begins to happen.

Every night at exactly 2:45 AM, the doorbell rings.

When he opens the door, no one is there.

The street is empty.

The garden is still.

And yet, the ringing never stops.

As the nights pass, sleep becomes impossible and the line between reality and obsession begins to blur. The house seems to be hiding something-something that has been waiting for years.

And every night, at 2:45 AM, it calls.
